Product Description

The bench chainsaw chain breaker rivet spinner splitter dismantle repair tool is a comprehensive and specialized tool for bench work on chainsaws. It can break chains, spin rivets, split components, and perform dismantling and repair tasks, providing a convenient and efficient solution for maintaining and repairing chainsaw chains. 

• INTEGRATED CHAIN BREAKERThis is the latest chain-breaking, chain-integrated machine with a simple structure and a light overall design that meets the multiple functions of the repair chain. Chain breaker comes supplied already assembled excluding handle portion.
• BENCH MOUNTINGChain breaker is equipped with two holes for mounting. Lag screws or bolts (not supplied) may be used to hold the unit in position. Mount chain breaker unit flush with side or front of bench area.
• HOW TO BREAK CHAINInsert chain portion to be broken into the slot of the adjustable anvil; Tighten adjustment knob until chain is securely positioned; Position rivet head directly under punch and pull handle down just far enough to push rivet out (do not use excessive force).
• HOW TO SPIN RIVETS 1Lay chain across plastic chain supports; Rotate plastic chain supports so that the rivet head is centered between the take-up handle pocket and spinner anvil; Turn take-up handle until chain is secured against spiner anvil; Tum sinner crank a few times to center the rivet hub in the spinner anvil.
• HOW TO SPIN RIVETS 2Apply a few drops of oil to rvethub; Tum spiner crank and, at the same time, slowly turn take-up handle inward (approximately one fll rvolutin) until rivethead is formed. Take-up handle provides pesse while sinner anvil forms ivet head.

RIGHT OR LEFT HAND USE

Chain breaker comes ready for right-handed use. If lft-handed use is preferred, follow the instuctions below.

Step 1. Unscrew set screw and remove handle.

Step 2. Remove plastic cap. With screwdriver, depress spring-loaded punch holder to free up cam.

Step 3. Slide cam out right side of chain breaker unit.

Step 4. Reinsert cam into opposite side of chain breaker unit. Depress punch holder and insert cam.

Step 5. Replace plastic cap and reinsert handle. Tighten set screw with Allen wrench.

Step 6. Remove stop pin from right side of unit and reinsert into left side.

REPLACING PUNCH

Step 1. To remove worn or damaged punch, loosen set screw with Allen wrench.

Step 2. Insert new punch into punch holder (push punch up until fully seated). Tighten set screw.

HOW TO BREAK CHAIN

Step 1. Insert chain portion to be broken into the slot of the adjustable anvil

Tighten adjustment knob until chain is securely positioned.

IMPORTANT: It is not necessary to re-adjust anvil when breaking multiple loops of chain of the same chain type.

Step 2. Position rivet head directly under punch and pull handle down just far enough to push rivet out (do not use excessive force).

NOTE:

A. Important - when breaking chain at cutter, make sure cutter is in correct position.

B. For cutters with depth gauges, make sure to position cutter properly as shown in using the side of the adjustable anvil with the slot.

Maintenance:

This unit is euipped with oling chambers and should be mintained peidially with a lightweight oil.
